# SysLog Settings

**Syslog Settings** page is used to configure the Syslog servers that receive log messages generated by ARKSSPR.

In most enterprise environments, log messages from servers, applications, and security devices are collected by a centralized **Syslog server**. After a Syslog server is configured on this page, ARKSSPR forwards its log messages to the specified Syslog server.

#### Fields

* **Server Address:** Specifies the IP address or FQDN of the Syslog server.
* **Port:** Specifies the port used for Syslog communication.
* **Protocol:** Specifies the Syslog transport protocol (UDP, TCP, or TLS).
* **Syslog Format:** Specifies the format of the transmitted log messages (for example, RFC3164 or RFC5424).
* **TLS/SSL:** Encrypts Syslog communication by using TLS/SSL.

Configured Syslog servers are listed at the bottom of the page. Multiple Syslog servers can be configured.

Select **Add** to add a new Syslog server.
