# Password Reset

The Password Reset feature allows users to reset their password without knowing their current password by completing the required verification process.

### User Identification

In the first step, the user enters their **Username** or **Email** address to begin the password reset process.

After the information is validated, select **Next** to continue.

### Validation Type Selection

The user selects the verification method that will be used during the password reset process.

The available verification methods are configured by the administrator.

Supported verification methods include:

* SMS
* Email
* Authenticator

### Identity Verification

The user is prompted to provide the information required for the selected verification method.

When **SMS** verification is selected, the user verifies their registered mobile phone number and selects **Send Code** to receive a verification code.

### Validation Code

Enter the verification code received through the selected verification method.

After the code is successfully verified, select **Next** to continue to the password creation page.

### New Password

Enter the new password and confirm it by entering it again.

Additional options include:

* **Unlock Account:** Unlocks the user account as part of the password reset process.
* **Generate Password Tool:** Generates a strong password that complies with the organization's password policy.

Select **Send** to complete the password reset.

### Generate Password Tool

The **Generate Password Tool** creates strong passwords that comply with the organization's password policy.

Administrators can configure the generated password to include:

* Uppercase letters
* Lowercase letters
* Numbers
* Special characters
* Password length

The generated password can be copied directly into the password fields.
